How much function can you put inside a one-inch cube? When it comes to mobile accessories, a lot apparently, as the WonderCube shows.
While it looks nothing more than a dice that hangs off a keychain, it’s actually eight mobile accessories in one. That way, you can take a good amount of peripherals on the go, without having to stuff your pockets full.
The WonderCube is a versatile emergency charger, with fold-out cables that can juice your phone from a powered USB port and an adapter on top that can draw power from a standard 9-volt battery (one battery is good for 3.5 hours of talk time), making it plenty usable whether you’re at home, in the office, or off the grid. A memory card slot allows it to serve as backup storage, which you can access via direct file transfer by simply plugging the connector to your phone (alternatively, you can plug the USB connector to a PC to copy files from there). It features a micro-suction plate on one side that allows it to attach to the back of a phone and serve as an instant stand, with a small LED torch that you can switch on when you find yourself in the dark.
Construction is durable ABS plastic, so it should stand up to the everyday challenges of on-the-go use. It comes in two versions: one with a microUSB connector and another with a Lighting plug for Apple devices.
An Indiegogo campaign is currently running for WonderCube. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at $49.
