If you need to spice up your home library (or entertainment room) a bit, Jordi Mila’s Wisdom Tree Bookshelf looks just like the perfect fixture to add.  It offers sufficient shelf space for a large number of books (or DVDs) and does it all with an unusual flair for drama.
Like any bookshelf, it offers plenty of space to keep your books in. I count at least ten surfaces that you can use to both stand and stack stuff on. However, it does waste a lot of space for the sake of effect – I don’t think I can complain, though, with a storage solution that looks this lovely.
Staying true to its name, the shelf branches out into a “fluid and organic” shape, with your books looking like bundles of fruits ripe for the picking. The red color really helps it pop out, although I can’t help but imagine how pristine this will look decked in striking white paint.
I’m not sure if this will end up a commercial product, since the artist seems to speak of it as an installation of sorts (in a really strange, trying-to-sound-deep kind of way).  Regardless, the Wisdom Tree Bookshelf is one of snazziest shelf designs I’ve seen in a while. I hope someone mass-produces it for cheap – hey, we can all dream, right?
