You already make your breakfast on a Volkswagen Camper Van Toaster and spend your time outdoors sleeping in a VW Camper Van Tent. We guess it won’t hurt to chill your drinks inside this Volkswagen Panel Van Cooler, too.
Styled to look like the iconic Volkswagen Type 2, it’s, basically, a large toy car that happens to be sized to serve as a functional cooler. It even comes with moving 8-inch wheels, rubber tires, and a telescoping handle, so you can drag around a cooler that looks like a camper van whether you’re at a tailgate, at camp, or just feel like keeping a stash of beverages next to you while lounging around the house.
The Volkswagen Panel Van Cooler is a faithful reproduction of an early Samba model, featuring the same two-color paint scheme, trim details, and windows. It even has the fabric sunroof, although, it’s non-functional since you need to keep the top shut unless you want the ice to melt. The entire roof serves as the lid and can be lifted up using the overhanging hat to retrieve a drink from your stash. Measuring 36.5 x 17 x 15.5 inches (l x w x h), it can hold up to 24 16-oz bottles along with a heaping of ice, so it should squeeze in even more if you prefer your drinks inside aluminum cans. It’s quite the capable cooler, too, with a pressed steel construction and insulating walls that measure three-quarters of an inch in thickness. A hidden drainage hole in the back allows you to clean up quickly after all the drinks are gone.
Available now, the Volkswagen Panel Van Cooler is priced at $499.95.
