Gave them away with smile on my face a day after wearing. Sizing is ridiculous. They are super-thin, low and long. Looks like people who designed them have very strange ideas about human foot geometry.

Lot’s of canceled pledges in the comment sections. Seems like too much drama going on with the company. I’ll wait for NIKE to come out with a better version of this style shoe.

If they made these knee-high instead of just above the ankle then I think they would sell to fishermen. I can see a knee-high shoe like this selling not only to fishermen, but also the punk scene, emos, and others. The Kneehigh Doc Martins still sell well within certain groups of people, but they have not made those waterproof.

This is an interesting case because traditionally waterproof shoes are targeted towards outdoor enthusiasts such as hikers and workers such as loggers and farmers. The Via shoes are a casual style shoe that is not designed for hiking and definitely not for farm work. Still to be seen if waterproof casual shoes have a market, but I am sure they will sell a lot of these to the youth in rainy cities such as Seattle.

I think the shoes are fugly, but I am not a fan of most current fashion trends anyway.

The shoes styling looks fine and I am sure the younger people out there will like them. I have a pair of Goretex hiking shoes that are waterproof, but once water gets into the top (which it always does) then it takes longer for the shoe to dry out than a non-waterproof pair. For hiking, I actually prefer non-waterproof shoes for this reason.

I am not understanding the sizing chart they have on KickStarter for these shoes.
