We’re big fans of Tushy’s original product, which lets you quickly add a bidet to any existing home toilet. It’s incredibly useful, as it lets you enjoy the convenience of cleaning up with water without having to invest in an entirely new bathroom fixture. While that should have you covered for all the toilets in your home, it doesn’t actually help for the times you’re out of the house. Chances are, you’ll still need toilet paper in those situations. Unless, of course, you have the Tushy Travel in your stash.
No, there’s nothing complicated about it. It’s a small bottle that you can fill with water and spray on your ass to get a bidet-style cleaning. Basically, it’s no different than taking a water bottle and putting a Hygienna Solo at the opening, except, in this case, the bottle and the spray nozzle all come as a single contraption.
The Tushy Travel is a portable bidet clad in the form of a sprayer bottle that collapses to a size that will fit conveniently inside a small pouch on your backpack, allowing you bring it everywhere, from school and work to all the other places you visit throughout the day. To get it ready, expand the bottle (which doubles the bottle’s height), remove the top cap, fill it water, and put the cap back on. After you’re done with the dirty business, take the bidet, lift the spray nozzle to your desired angle, and squeeze the bottle to get a good spray going.
Granted, this will be nowhere as strong as the pressurized spray from the bidet in your toilet at home, so you’ll want to be a little more thorough to make sure your bum gets properly washed. From what we can tell, though, the bottle should hold enough supply of water to get you adequately cleaned, so you should have no trouble using it. And if it doesn’t, you can always supplement it with some toilet paper, if necessary.
The Tushy Travel isn’t powered, so there’s no need to replace batteries or charge anything, as the only requirement to create the needed pressure is squeezing the bottle tightly. According to the outfit, the bottle’s grooved body makes it extremely easy to grip, ensuring you have a good hold on it while cleaning up after a session, while a built-in carabiner allows you to clip it onto backpacks, so you can announce to the world that you wash down your bum unlike everyone else who simply wipes it like a primitive caveman.
Whether you want to use the toilet at the office, the gym, or the dingy restaurant you visited while driving cross-country, having this portable bidet in your stash will let you clean up in the same convenient way as you at home. That is, with the satisfying cleansing of a water spray, compared to wiping with toilet paper, as you’d normally be stuck with when doing your private business in public bathrooms across the country.
The Tushy Travel is available now, priced at $29.
