Ever played a board game and wished it had more tokens to give the experience a heightened realism? Sure, you can scour stores for small plastic toys that can serve as makeshift tokens, but wouldn’t you rather spend all that time playing with your favorite tabletop titles? Forget wasting time collecting tokens piece by piece and just pick up one of these Treasure Chests instead.
Made by Stonemaier Games, it’s a collection of custom-sculpted tokens that you can introduce as additional props in any of your favorite board games (well, maybe not the Beer Nerd one, but many others should be fair game). Whether you’re into futuristic sci-fi, medieval RPGs, or elaborate dungeon-crawlers, you should be able to find use for many of the items included in each of these collections.
Three types of Treasure Chests are available: Food Crate, Resource Vault, and Energy Box.  Food Crate consists of food items like steaks, bags of coffee, and loaves of bread; Resource Vault covers popular in-game resources like steel, wool, and barrels (which you can pretend contains everything from wine to gunpowder); and Energy Box contains common elements like oil, radioactive uranium, and fire.
The Treasure Chest consists of a cardboard box that measures 8.5 x 5.25 x 1.5 inches, making it very compact and extremely portable, with 120 tokens inside. Each box contains 20 each of six different types of resource tokens, with a custom plastic insert that lets you group each type in their own respective compartments. Sculpted by Scott Wadyko, each token features resin construction, with at least one flat side to keep them from rolling on the game table.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running to fund the Treasure Chests. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at $35.
