Flashlights are indispensable in many situations. Whether at home, around the city, or in the wild outdoors, a powerful and reliable flashlight can be one of the most valuable tools in your arsenal. Depending on the situation, it can be a veritable superhero weapon. We guess that’s why we’re not surprised someone made the Repulsor, a two-headed flashlight that looks like a superhero weapon straight out of the Marvel cinematic universe. Seriously.
A wearable flashlight, it’s designed to wear around your hips, beaming its piercing bright lights from either side of your body. That means, you can free up your hands to do other things like operate tools, carry a backup bazooka flashlight, or eat a bag of Doritos while keeping the path out front properly illuminated.
The Repulsor puts out a maximum of 7,911 lumens for some seriously bright lighting, with a throw that the creators claim can cut through hundreds of feet of darkness. Each of the two lenses produce a 60-degree beam angle, ensuring the space out front is as bright as when a car’s headlight turns up on high. During use, it secures to the back of your belt to keep it in place the entire time, with a flexible arm allowing you to point each of the two lighting elements in any direction (even different ones). It comes with two options in batteries, 8,000 mAh and 12,00 mAh, each of which powers the flashlight for 90 and 115 minutes, respectively. And, yes, the darn thing can be mounted on a bike if you want to give your bicycle headlights with a quality comparable to a car.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the Repulsor. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at $175.
