Any small bag or pouch can work well enough as a dopp kit, allowing you to bring your supply of toiletries and hygiene products every time you leave the house. But why carry a bag when you can bring your bathroom essentials inside a container the size of a pencil case instead? That’s what you get to do with the Paxter.
A more compact alternative to traditional dopp kits, the case is equipped with multiple small compartments, allowing you to keep different bathroom products right in their own space. A toothbrush and a travel-size tube of toothpaste? Yep, there’s room in there. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner? There’s a compartment for that, too. How about Q-tips, wipes, and a safety razor? Yeah, there’s a slot where all of those things are going to fit, too.
Paxter comes with three chambers for liquid products, such as shampoo, face wash, and lotion, with each chamber holding up to 95 ml of contents. A pump button at the center allows you to draw product from any of the compartments – just open the lid for that compartment, press the button, and out goes the product. Each of the three compartment comes with transparent measuring lines, so you can see exactly how much product still remains in each one. The lids on each chamber all come labeled, by the way (they currently have lids labeled Face Wash, Body Wash, Shampoo, and Conditioner, with more promised for later), all while being swappable, so you can use the exact lid required for each section. Of course, you can also just label them yourself if you’d rather not swap lids every time.
A dedicated section allows you to stash a regular-size toothbrush (it will fit most disposable ones you can purchase off a rack), with integrated ventilation ensuring air is able to circulate to help the toothbrush dry. The last compartment is a waterproof chamber sized to hold a variety of small items, from Q-tips and cotton wipes to travel tube toothpaste and clippers to everything in between. Basically, it’s a catch-all for anything else you need that’s small enough to fit inside.
Paxter is constructed from hard plastic, so the body is rigid and firm, ensuring your toiletries won’t get squished when you put it inside your luggage, similar to what usually happens when bathroom products spill out in your dopp kit. The sides of the body, by the way, are fitted with a ribbed silicone strip, so you can use this even when it’s wet (such as when taking a shower) without having it slip out of your grip.
Dimensions are 8.1 x 3.1 x 2 inches (length x width x depth), so while it’s not small enough to carry in your pocket, it should fit snugly in most any bag you regularly carry. It comes in four colors: white, gray, peach, and black.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for Paxter. You can reserve a unit for pledges starting at $25.
