Camping and soaking in hot tubs may sound like two completely different activities, but they do share some things in common. For one, they’re both great for clearing your head, rebooting the senses, and helping you settle into a more relaxing mood. So why not do both at the same time? That’s exactly what can happen with the Nomad Collapsible Tub, a portable hot tub and heater coil system designed for use in the great outdoors.
During transport, the thing can pack in a dry duffle bag (16 x 16 inches) that you can pile along with the rest of your gear. No need to take up half the space in your truck bed like a traditional hot tub would, making it especially convenient to bring, whether you’re setting up in the woods, the lake, or the backyard at the digs you’re house-sitting over next month.
The Nomad Collapsible Hot Tub measures 60 inches in diameter and 24 inches in height, with capacity to hold up to 225 gallons of water. It’s large enough to fit four comfortably and more if you’re willing to squeeze in just a bit. Construction is 18-oz vinyl for the walls and 24-oz vinyl for the floor, so it should be durable enough to contain grown adults in drunken revelry. The bundled stainless steel heater coil, which can be fueled by propane, natural gas, or firewood, will warm up the contents of the tub, all while using thermosyphoning to circulate the water (so, no pump is needed).
Price is $999 for the full set that includes the Nomad Collapsible Hot Tub and heater coil. Definitely more affordable than other portable hot tub solutions we’ve seen (e.g. SpaBerry).
