Despite their lack of success in the smartphone market, Nokia continues to make some of the best hardware out there. And that goes for their accessories, too. Their latest wireless headset, the Nokia Luna, handily proves that point.
What makes it special? For one, the thing’s hella pretty. And tiny at just 25.31 x 24.00 x 26.36 mm. And colorful. And shiny. And it comes with a pod where you can dock the in-ear piece when it’s not in use.
Oh yeah, the Nokia Luna doesn’t just pair with cellphones over Bluetooth either — it’s got NFC, too, so you can use it with your brand-spanking-new NFC-enabled devices with a simple tap. When used with an NFC-equipped phone, the earpiece will automatically power up its Bluetooth connection when a call comes in and shut it down as soon as you hang up (saving your precious battery life). Pairing is as simple as smacking the phone to the headset, saving you from the hassle of digging through menus.
Charging the headset’s built-in battery is done right at the retro-futuristic pod, which can be hooked up to a power source via a USB cable. You can use it for up to 8 hours of talk time.
The Nokia Luna will be available sometime before the end of the year in a selection of colors (black, white, fuchsia, green and cyan), priced at $95.
