There are many coffee makers out there, from basic brewing appliances to elaborate setups that resemble complicated machinery. None of them, however, are named after everyone’s favorite oriental assassins, which makes the Ninja Coffee Bar a most intriguing addition to the category.
Made by SharkNinja, it’s an erstwhile drip coffee brewer that’s been reinforced with a variety of talents, allowing it to offer multiple variations in drink types and sizes. Kind of like an ordinary oriental man trained in the ways of ninjutsu, turning him into a lethal agent that’s capable of carrying out various covert operations. Or something like that.
The Ninja Coffee Bar can make coffee in four sizes: cup, travel mug, half carafe, and full carafe, with a secondary platform that can be folded out from under the drip, where you can set down a cup for single-serve drink sizes. Aside from standard drip coffee (classic brew), it can also make a rich brew designed to complement milk, sugar, and other flavorings, as well as a specialty brew that produces concentrated espresso-style coffee liquid for making lattes, cappuccinos, and other fancy fare. It comes with a frother accessory, so you can manually aerate and froth milk (yeah, you’ll actually have to turn into an in-house barista of sorts). For iced coffee, you simply choose the “over ice brew” option, then pack the carafe halfway with ice cubes.
Slated for availability this month, the Ninja Coffee bar is priced at $140.
