We’re big fans of MSI’s Trident series, which brings powerful gaming hardware in a desk-friendly compact form factor. If you’ve been thinking of getting one but aren’t so stoked about the generic black cases, you might want to pick up this limited edition MSI Trident 3 Arctic, which sees the gaming PC clad in a snowy white enclosure.
Measuring just 13.6 x 9.2 x 2.8 inches, the desktop takes up no more space than most laptops, ensuring you can easily make room for them on any desk. It’s small enough that can place it under the monitor, on the edge of the table, or even upright using the bundled stand for an even more minimal footprint.
Despite the size, the MSI Trident 2 Arctic brings serious power, courtesy of a 3.6GHz Intel Core i7-7700 CPU, an 8GB MSI GTX 1070 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and dual storage (256GB SSD and 1TB HDD). That ensures its powerful enough to run not just AAA games, but play nice with your HTC Vive, while an exclusive cooling system called Silent Storm ensures the components never overheat even through long gaming marathons.
Features include enhanced sound reproduction (via Audio Boost 3 and Nahimic 2.5 Audio Enhancer), 4K support, a PCI-E expansion slot (in case you want a second GPU), 7.1-channel audio, and the usual connectivity options. It comes in an enclosure that, MSI claims, is certified to Military Class 5 standards, with, of course, the requisite customizable RGB LEDs at strategic areas.
Available now, the MSI Trident 3 Arctic is priced at $1,500.
