Charging docks are normally unsightly pieces of accessories – large blocks of plastic with protruding connectors. That eyesore typically grows in expanse the more devices it can charge. The Messless Charger marries a multi-charging dock’s utility with enough aesthetic sensibilities to fashion an attractive piece for the home that you wouldn’t mind seeing on top of a table or a shelf.
Created by Italdesign Giugiaro, the “messless” name is obviously a reference to the peripheral’s ability to charge multiple devices without forcing you to deal with the mess of wires such a setup usually involves. Going beyond cleaning up your table area, though, it offers an elegant and sophisticated glass-top design that can act as a decorative piece even when placed at a prominent space in your home.
The device offers four charging docks, with each spot able to fit in a replaceable connector. Simply pick what you need from the package and slot it in. It comes bundled with six adapters for different handheld devices, one each for Nokia, Nokia Mini, iPod/iPhone, mini-USB, Sony Ericsson K750 and PSP. It shouldn’t be that difficult to make extra adapters for it, too, so more might be available at some point in the future.
Dimensions are 20 x 20 x 6.5 cm, which should be small enough to fit it into tabletops and larger shelves. The stylish Messless Charger is available now, in black, for £69.95 (about $113).
