You caught sight of the Evantra last December, but didn’t quite get the full details of the next supercar addition to your luxury fleet. Well, that ends now as Mazzanti Automobili shows off the production version of its Mazzanti Evantra V8.
Sporting lines that look like it came out of a comic book fanboy’s wet dreams, this is one heck of a looker. No understand elegance here — just pure superhero-level show muscles that make for as busy an aesthetic as I’ve ever seen. They call the styling a “perfect equilibrium of classical and modern.” Personally, I call it the perfect superhero muscle beast. Put a caped dude in spandex on this thing and let it fly.
The Mazzanti Evantra V8 houses an all-aluminum 7-liter V8, producing 701 horsepower and 624 pound-feet of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual or sequential gearbox, that power translates to a 0 to 60 of 3.2 seconds and top speeds of 217.5 mph. Bodywork is done up in either aluminum or carbon fiber, both of them laying over a steel and chromoly chassis. Those who’d like a little personalization on the bodywork (useful if you’re either a superhero or a supervillain) should opt for the aluminum, which Mazzanti will handcraft to your liking. The two-seat coupe gets a tailor-made interior decked in leather, with an AIM center console, a Bosch Headunit, and a Nardi steering wheel with a small display that shows the current gear.
Only five Mazzanti Evantra V8’s will be produced per year, so superheroes can rest assured their ride will be easily identifiable by the crowd. We can’t find pricing details, but we expect it to be exorbitantly out of our league.
