A good camera bag can make carrying all your photography and videography gear so much easier. Problem is, most of your new sessions involve bringing a drone along for aerial shots, requiring an entirely separate case on top of the trusted camera bag you’ve used the past couple of years. If you use one of DJI’s Phantom drones, the Manfrotto D1 Drone Backpack has you covered.
No more carrying your drone and your everyday camera separately, since this thing comes with the space to properly accommodate both. Whether you’re shooting a commissioned piece or just indulging in a weekend hobby, this bag should make your modern photography sessions just a little less difficult to pack for.
Just like any good camera bag, the Manfrotto D1 Drone Backpack comes with a designated place for holding a large camera, along with a slot for a tripod. Unlike them, the main compartment serves as a safe and snug holding place for a DJI Phantom, the included remote, and a bunch of its accessories, allowing you to bring a full-fledged drone and some barebones photography gear while carrying nothing but a single pack. Around the back is zippered slot for a laptop (up to 17 inches) and a tablet, so you can edit footage right on the ground. We’re not sure if you can cram a lens or two in the external pockets, but it’s probably worth trying (I think it’s doable). It measures 22 x 13 x 9 inches (h x w x d), with nylon fabric construction.
Available now, the Manfrotto D1 Drone Backpack is priced at $199.99.
