LEGO Marvel Logo & Minifigures Makes Sure Everyone Knows Which Side of the Marvel vs DC Battle You’re On

We’ll admit, the prospect of building a Marvel logo from LEGO bricks sounds utterly boring. It’s downright incomprehensible how this can possibly be fun. However, the LEGO Marvel Logo & Minifigures does bring some special tricks behind those familiar letters to make it a worthwhile addition to your display case.

First off, it’s really just a Marvel logo slapped on the side of a rectangular red block, similar to what you’ll regularly see at the start of every Marvel movie. You know… the kind you can show off on a shelf alongside your Marvel action figures, which should be the main appeal for this thing.

The LEGO Marvel Logo & Minifigures is a collectible display model that recreates the iconic Marvel logo using red and white bricks. And yes, it really is as boring as it sounds, so this is definitely the kind of set you’ll build once and just show off on a display shelf somewhere. However, it does come with a few extra elements that should make it a tad more interesting than a simple 3D logo. Specifically, it houses an intricate system of gears inside the red box that give it some element of play.

The gears are attached to a set of arms designed to dock a standard LEGO minifig, with the arms popping out of the box when the gears are activated, making it look like minifigs are flying out the sides of the logo, which gives it a real superhero vibe. One arm pops out on each side, while two arms pop out from the top, with a set of buttons on top allowing you to control when the arms extend out and retract back inside the housing. A fifth arm can be also be flipped out from the back, taking its spot in between the two arms on top.

The LEGO Marvel Logo & Minifigures comes with five minifigures, which, we’ll be honest, are probably the best part of the whole thing. They included five of the more popular members of the Avengers, namely Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, and Hulk, so you get to put one minifig for each arm in the box. These are nice minifigs, by the way, with Iron Man sporting a Mark VI armor, a flip-up, and reversible head (one with a HUD, one without) and Cap donning an SSR uniform from The First Avenger, so these will be nice additions to your collection. If you have other Marvel hero minifigs, you can swap them in, of course, making this an excellent set for longtime fans of the pop culture franchise.

When assembled, the logo measures 4 x 11 x 2.5 inches (width x height x depth), so it’s a pretty decent size for showing off somewhere around the house. It comes with 931 pieces, so this should take a bit of time to assemble, though, it’s probably going to be an easier build than your typical Marvel sets, since it’s, basically, a box.

The LEGO Marvel Logo & Minifigures is available now, priced at $99.99.
