We love LEGO’s Daily Bugle set, which gives us what’s easily the most famous building in the Spider-Man universe. It’s an elaborate set that recreates not just the 46-story tower, but includes a whole load of elements and minifigures that let you recreate a bunch of scenes from the comic books and the movies alike. The LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower gives the same treatment to the superhero headquarters.
LEGO’s largest Marvel set yet, the toy allows you to assemble Earth’s mightiest headquarters as it appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, allowing you to recreate your favorite movie moments on the tabletop. With a massive exterior, a detailed interior, and over two dozen minifigs included, this thing lets you play out your own version of the Infinity Saga right from the comfort of your home.
The LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower is a detailed model of the high-rise superhero headquarters in downtown Manhattan that faithfully recreates its modern design, curving lines, and the large Avengers logo near the top. While the plastic brick construction makes it less imposing than the gleaming steel and reinforced glass of the building from the MCU, they do cram in plenty of details that make it feel even more vibrant than it looks onscreen.
At the top of the tower is a landing pad with a matching buildable Quinjet, so you get a technologically advanced aircraft your minifigs can use for both personal transport and flight combat. Remove one side of the building to reveal detailed dioramas at various floors, including Tony Stark’s workshop, a room with an imprisoned Winter Soldier, and a café. Heck, they also recreated the scene where Captain America fights a younger version of himself in the glass walkways, making the interiors a fun and interesting nod to some memorable events from the films. The top of the building is also removable and reveals a holding cell for Loki.
The LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower stands a whopping 35.5 x 13 x 10 inches (height x width x depth), making for a towering presence that’s sure to dominate any display shelf. That’s right, it stands just under three feet tall, easily making it the biggest Marvel set LEGO has made to date. It comes with a total of 5,201 pieces, by the way, so this thing will take a while to put together. Not all of those bricks go towards the building, either, as it also comes with numerous additional buildable items, including a Leviathan and a pair of Chitauri chariots.
A total of 31 minifigures are included in the set. That’s right, over two dozen and a half. The minifigs include Tony Stark with his Iron Man MK7 and Iron Man MK6 armors, Tony Stark dressed as a SHIELD agent, younger and older versions of Captain America, Hawkeye, Falcon, Black Widow, Wanda Maximoff, a Hulk figure that’s much bigger than the others, Thor, Falcon, Vision, Pepper Potts, War Machine, Nick Fury, Ant-Man, The Wasp, Wong, Alexander Pierce, Dr. Cho, Erik Selvig, a pair of indistinct SHIELD agents, Loki, Ultron, four alien Chitauri soldiers, and even Marvel President Kevin Feige. That’s right, they put the boss in the set for whatever reason.
The LEGO Marvel Avengers Tower comes out November 24, priced at $499.99.
