Like other growlers, you can use the Juggernaut to transport a generous portion of beer from the brewery straight to your house. Unlike them, it’s even more generous, holding twice the amount of booze normally carried on conventional jugs. It’s so big, in fact, that the container can pull double duty as a personal mini-keg.
Able to hold a full gallon of suds, it’s the ideal container for home brewers who prefer cooking up their grog in small, single-gallon batches. Made by DrinkTanks, it’s big enough to hold twice the content yet small enough to fit snug in the fridge, so it should be just as convenient as any growler you’ve used in the past.
The Juggernaut is made from food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, with a double-wall vacuum insulation that allows it to keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours, all while preventing the growler from sweating. It’s designed to work with a dual-bail cap that will keep the contents as fresh as possible, although they do offer a modified version called the “kegulator,” which combines a regulator, integrated CO2, a tap dispenser, a purge valve, and a pressure gauge (so you can check the exact level of carbonation). That latter cap will still keep beer fresh like the traditional cap, but with the added convenience of being able to dispense a glass directly from tap like a real keg. Dimensions are 17 inches tall when using the kegulator, with the body measuring 8.5 inches wide (including the handle).
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running to fund the Juggernaut. Pledges to reserve a unit with a kegulator starts at $119.
