Wait, does/is Newegg selling this? Wow, that’s old school, haven’t been on that site in ages, but yeah that used to be the go-to place. I never had to or actually tried returning anything through them before, but I trust they hold a solid reputation with customers as they’ve been around so long.

I still play Battlefield 3 online when I came through Revive. $600 seems like a lot for a “boost”, but I guess it depends on your current setup, and what you’re actually trying to do or play. Definitely not a bad product for MAC users out there haha. 😛 I like how small and compact this is though. CRYSIS anyone? I have a 3-4 monitor setup, so I like that it’s multi-functional for playing on more than one screen. The USB ports was also a good touch. You can tell NVIDIA put a lot of thought into this product, as they do with all of their BEAUTIFUL graphic cards systems, upgrades, and functionality.

Newegg seems like the first place a lot of new tech items go. Maybe it’s easier to get it on Newegg . I am sure Newegg likes to negotiate to be the first too because their biggest competitor is Amazon.

I’ve shopped on Newegg before and been real happy with them, but I still prefer to wait and order it off of Amazon if there is something I want. I think the customer returns are a lot easier with Amazon. I like Amazon because I can return something and they don’t treat me like a criminal or try and shame me for returning an item. Amazon is definitely the most customer friendly of any commerce site I have ever used.

After emailing them about the internal display, they responded back that the Aorus Gaming Box “will be able to utilize the internal display of the laptop.”

How loud does the GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box get? Is it quiet or will the fan in it sound like an airplane taking off?

So where this has the Thunderbolt 3 plug and play included in it, then you would have to use a Mac for the best graphic results right?

Will it work with Ubuntu, or any Linux setup for that matter?

The GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box will initially be for sale on at NewEgg in the United States. If your in the UK, then I am not sure which vendors will have it initially. Although I like shopping tech at NewEgg, I hope other vendors also can eventually get the GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box in stock. It could lead to some better sales pricing, unless GigaByte has mandatory minimum advertised pricing rules that it enforces with its vendors.

I wonder why they chose to initially stock Newegg before Amazon?

Although the Aorus may or may not meet your needs, there is, or will be soon, an external external GPU setup that will help you. I wonder if they can make an external GPU system that works with Chromebooks? Not for gaming, just to give it even more of a boost.

So the GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box comes with the drivers on a CD. LMAO, what is this, 2001. It’s easier to get the drivers online and download them. If they have to update the drivers then it is going to force you to go on online to get the updated drivers anyways. Seems like a wasted disc just for drivers, especially if you don’t have a disc drive. It’s not just MAC users anymore, a lot of PC’s are being shipped with out disc drives too.

I am not sure about the GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box. I like the idea of it, but if you are a serious gamer then you’ll want to build or buy a good gaming computer. If you are just a casual gamer with a computer that won’t work for high-end gaming then it would work great. But if you are a casual gamer you probably won’t be spending $600 for an add-on to your current computer.

I can see the potential for myself in a non-gaming capacity. The GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box hooked up to my MacBook Pro would give me even more power when I am editing and rendering videos. In this capacity, I can see the Aorus selling a lot of these. I wonder why they are marketing this soley to gamers when non-gamers can also use this. My Macbook Pro works great for rendering video in HD 1080, but when I start switching to 4K video I will either need more processing power or it will slow my work flow down.

It’s definitely not. The Steam Link allows you to hook the box up to a TV in your house, and then you can beam the game from your computer or laptop to your television. It’s pretty nice because you get the benefit of gaming on a large TV screen, even if you have a small screen laptop.

The GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box gives the computer you are using enough “oomph” to power games. A lot less dropped frames too. Look, even if you already have a powerful gaming computer, you would still see a drastic increase in performance with the GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box.

I am sure there has got be a way to use your laptops display for the processed output. If not I am sure someone will develop a hack or an adapter of some sort that would allow it.

I am unsure though if I could use the GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box and my steam link simultaneously. It might be possible, but it’s giving me a headache trying to think about how it would be hooked up.

Is there a heat sink to help cool it too, or is it just the fan? The price is high, but if I can get the GigaByte Aorus Gaming Box on a Black Friday sale at a great price then I would.

The Gigabyte Aorus Gaming Box at $600 plus a $500 laptop is about $1200 with taxes is a fourth or fifth of what you’d pay for a gaming laptop. My only concern with this is how long is the Gigabyte Aorus Gaming Box really going to be enough to handle games? I very rarely play computer games because of the constant change in hardware. If this is only good for a year or two, I honestly don’t think it’s worth the investment. Sometimes is just worth hashing out the money for a console and a nice TV.
