Duracell and their ever-present and ever-going pink bunny are back with something new. Duracell has realized that many people have devices they use in the car all the time, and so they’ve created a cool USB charger that plugs directly into a car’s cigarette lighter (now often referred to as a DC socket since few people actually use the lighter as a lighter any more). If you’re tired of your devices losing power right when you need them, this may be exactly what you need.
The Duracell USB Charger is one of the smallest USB charging devices on the market at the moment. It runs 5-volt DC power directly to any USB product you plug into it. This can include your smart phone, your iPod, your navigation device, or anything else. As long as you have the correct connector, you can charge it! You can even use the charger to charge up some of those awesome AA batteries that can be charged off a computer’s USB port. The Duracell charger is also quite small. In fact, it’s only about the size of a USB travel drive for computers.
The device has a few other features besides charging. If you’re trying to charge something in the dark, you know how hard it can be to find the plug. The Duracell charger’s port, however, glows blue when you plug it in so it’s easy to find. The device also comes with three different connectors that can be used with the Duracell My Pocket Charger.
