To be honest, I’m not particularly fond of all-in-one wrenches. But you have to admit — hanging a single multi-tool wrench on a belt pouch is a heck of a lot more convenient than carrying a full wrench set along with all the other crap on your toolbox. That’s exactly what you get with the Craftsman Figure Eight Wrench, which bundles eight different head sizes in a single tool.
Available in both metric and inch versions, it should prove easy to use regardless of your preferred measurement system.  Inch sizes are 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16 and 3/4; for metric fans, you get a tool labeled with 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm, 13mm, 15mm, 17mm and 18mm marks on each corresponding head.
Each end of the Craftsman Figure Eight Wrench has two sockets, both of them covering two head sizes apiece using a steeped-box end wrench design. All sockets are mounted on a bar at the ends, allowing you to swivel them out individually during use, while keeping all the others folded in. All heads feature a universal tooth design, making them compatible with a wide variety of fastener types, including 6pt, 12pt, 4pt, spline, external torx and partially rounded hex models.
While I doubt hardcore pros doing heavy-duty repair work will find an all-in-one wrench ideal, that’s not exactly the audience this thing is aimed at. For light-to-medium duty jobs like simple plumbing work around the house or doing repairs on your Swingtrike, though, this tool should save you from the hassle of hauling a heavy box full of differently-sized wrenches around.
The Craftsman Figure Eight Wrench is available now, priced at $25.
