Some motorcycles are so pretty, they make you grunt in admiration on sight. Others look so out of this world, you find yourself unable to peel your eyes away. The Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster, on the other hand, is so macho, your body’s testosterone production will get jacked up any time you’re around it. Seriously, it’s better than TRT.
This newest model is based on last year’s X132 Hellcat, but comes with a body that’s been restyled and reworked by legendary Ducati designer Pierre Terblanche. Seriously, this thing is like half performance bike and half art experiment, with an unhealthy amount of steroids injected into the mix.
The Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster is powered by a 2,163cc fuel-injected V-twin engine (really) mated to a five-speed drag racing gearbox, putting out 121 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. With the whole thing weighing just 500 pounds, you can imagine what kind of speed you can get with that level of power. It features a minimalist steel backbone chassis, carbon fiber and billet aluminum construction, adjustable suspension, and 48mm Race Tech coil-over shock. For rider comfort, it employs the classic American riding position, with a tractor-style leather saddle, forward foot controls, and a swept handlebar. Other details include 18-inch carbon fiber wheels, Metzeler tires, dual Beringer 4-piston calipers up front and a single 4-piston out back for stopping power, and LED lighting throughout the ride.
Only 65 examples of the Confederate X132 Hellcat Speedster will be produced, all of which will be handmade in the US. Price is $65,000.
