How do you make more room in your fridge for extra beers? Drink the ones inside. In case that isn’t an option yet (you still need the six pack for an audition or something – yes, we’re assuming you’re all male models), this magnetic bottleLoft might do the trick.
Described as “the world’s first magnetic bottle hanger for your refrigerator,” it lets you take advantage of any underutilized headroom space in any area of the fridge. Simply stick one of these things on the space and start hanging the bottles up by the cap. Awesome.
Created by Strong Like Bull Magnets, the bottleLoft consists of a plastic rail with three N52-grade neodymium magnets and a strip of 3M VHB tape in the back. To use, simply peel off the adhesive backing, place it in the area you want to use to “hang” beverages, and you’re done. Won’t the tape peel off? Doubtful, since the 3M VHB is the exact same kind they use on the wing flaps of commercial airplanes, so it should easily shrug off the cold temperatures in the fridge like it didn’t even notice. Plus, it’s rated to hold 110 pounds per square inch, so three puny bottles of any kind of drink cannot possibly be a problem. Can those magnets really handle an unopened bottle? N52-grade neodymiums are nasty strong, so while bottle caps are normally pretty thin, the system has been thoroughly tested to hold a standard thin bottle cap plus an additional 3.6 pounds without coming loose.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the bottleLoft. Pledges to reserve a pair starts at $39.
