It looks like any stainless steel mug. You know, the kind you’ll throw in a backpack when you’re spending a weekend camping in the woods. Except, the Boco BRuX is designed to double as a functional coffee maker, allowing you to brew coffee in the exact same vessel you’ll use to drink it.
Designed to brew coffee in the classic pour-over over fashion, it comes with a telescoping cone that you can rest on a ledge along the mouth of the mug for accommodating a paper filter (the same cone can be kept inside the mug, too, if you prefer having fewer things to mind). Once that’s set up, just dump a scoop of ground coffee on the filter, slowly pour hot water into the rig, and enjoy a cup of freshly-brewed coffee in under three minutes.
The Boco BRuX is a vacuum-insulated mug with a 20-oz. capacity, making it ideal for enjoying both hot and cold drinks, whether at home or on the road. A detachable plastic lid and double wall construction lets you keep the heat in even longer, while an 18-8 stainless steel build ensures it can survive rough handling in rugged outdoor conditions. Dimensions are a big 4 x 5 inches (diameter x height), so you might need to cup this with two hands (if, you know, you have one of those smaller paws).
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the Boco BRux. You can reserve a unit for pledges starting at $39.
