If I got my jollies tricking out my home entertainment system, I’d be neck-deep in debt. It’s just going to be impossible to resist exorbitantly-priced hardware as pretty as the Beovision 4-85.
Made by Bang & Olufsen, it’s the company’s first foray into the 3D/full HD category and they’re not holding back. Designed for the refined and opulent home theater of folks who can afford a little excess, it boasts downright sexy looks and state-of-the-art features, paired with “magical moving mechanics and intelligent home integration.”
The Bang & Olufsen Beovision 4-85 is an 85-inch 3DTV (needs shutter glasses) encased in a high-grade aluminum frame. The plasma panel comes with anti-reflection coating and automated image controls to ensure a crystal-clear viewing experience, as well as a BeoLab 10 central loudspeaker with Acoustic Lens Technology.
Available with a unique stand (it can also be bought for wall mounting), the TV will automatically elevate, turn and tilt at your preferred viewing angle upon being powered on, with the triangular-shaped speaker emerging underneath it. When turned off, the set will automatically lower to within inches off the floor and the speaker will pull back.  No word on whether this will ship with a Beo6 remote, but anyone moneyed enough to get a set like this will probably pay for one, too, just to be able to control that mechanical TV movement from the couch.
International pricing for the Bang & Olufsen Beovision 4-85 is unknown at the moment, but sources are quoting somewhere in the vicinity of £61,500 for the TV with the stand in tow.
