Meet Godzilla Minus One’s New King of Kaiju As A Bandai MonsterArts Action Figure

Do you need another Godzilla action figure in your life? Maybe not, but with the surprise reveal of a new kaiju movie last month, there’s absolutely going to be a bunch of new monster action figures ready to tear a gargantuan hole in your wallet. First up, of course, is the King of Monsters himself in the Bandai S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla Minus One Godzilla action figure.

That’s right, there’s a new Godzilla movie coming in November and, of course, a new beastly action figure along with it. Based on precise 3D data used in the film, the toy gives us our first look at the latest iteration of the mighty Gojira in all his horrific glory.

The Bandai S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla Minus One Godzilla stands just 6.3 inches tall, so it won’t dwarf the rest of your six-inch action figures the way an actual kaiju should. While it’s not exactly the towering monster you probably expected, it does measure a whopping 34.3 inches from its snout down to the tip of the tail, so it is still plenty terrifying even without being a towering behemoth. Plus, it looks as terrifying as Godzilla has ever looked, with its messed-up dinosaur face, scaly reptile skin, and large sharp plates protruding off its back.

There’s no word on the amount of articulation available on this. Just based on the product photos, though, there’s a good load of them, so you can arrange this figure in a variety of dynamic poses to show the prehistoric reptilian creature in action. It shouldn’t be a problem making it look like he’s destroying a tabletop city, battling Mechagodzilla, or snatching Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet from the sky.

The Bandai S.H. MonsterArts Godzilla Minus One Godzilla is sculpted and colored by renowned kaiju master Yuji Sakai. It’s currently on preorder with a February ship date.
