There’s nothing complicated about the Adventure Mat. It’s a stiff mat that you can stand on when changing socks and footwear out in the wild. That way, you won’t have to get your feet covered in sand, mud, or whatever dirt lurks about every time you take off your shoes to give your feet a breather.
Yes, you can do the same thing by changing your shoes inside the tent, but what about those times you want to do the same thing while being away from camp? See, unlike regular foot mats, this one can fold into a portable square that you should be able to cram into a bag pouch or a jacket pocket, allowing you to keep it on hand, whether you’re hiking up a trail, hunting in the woods, or taking the kayak out for a ride along the river.
The Adventure Mat has a top made from antimicrobial rubber with the bottom cut in grippy textured backing, so it stay in place the entire time you’re standing on top. For transport, it folds into a compact square measuring 6.5 on all sides, while expanding to a 3 square foot surface when fully unfolded. The folds, by the way, are designed such that the top side of the mat never touches the bottom, ensuring none of the dirt underneath can get on the mat’s surface.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for the Adventure Mat. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at $29.
