If you enjoy your creature comforts during camping, then having a functional kitchen is an absolute necessity. And, no, a single survival stove and a can doesn’t count if we’re talking about making real meals. You need an actual stove, a work top, and some real cookware for that. The iKamper EatOut gets you all that and more.
An all-in-one camp kitchen, it lets you enjoy a barebones kitchen setup while carrying nothing but a single box. Whether you’re camping in the backcountry, spending a day at the beach, or tailgating in the parking lot, this thing lets you pull out a functional kitchen without having to carry a whole lot of gear.
The iKamper EatOut consists of a box with integrated rubber wheels and a telescopic aluminum handle, so you can drag it behind you while you walk around finding a place to set up. It also comes with recessed handles on the sides for carrying with two hands, in case the terrain isn’t quite ideal for dragging the box along. Of course, there’s more to this contraption than a wheeled box.
Lift the top of the box to reveal two stove burners with a removable stainless steel wind guard and one-touch ignition, as well as a large work top to its right, and a smaller work top to its left. The stove, by the way, is compatible with any standard butane canister, with room underneath for stashing it during cooking. You can use the rest of the box to store pots, pans, and other cookware, along with plates, cutlery, and more.
The iKamper EatOut comes in two model sizes: Excursion and Expedition, with the former measuring 14.9 x 14.5 x 16.9 inches and the latter coming in at 15.9 x 15.9 x 18.5 inches. The smaller model has a 37-liter storage area while the bigger one gives you 50.8 liters of room for stashing all your cooking gear. Construction is aluminum for the box and birch plywood for the work tops, with stainless steel hardware to ensure a durable build. All aluminum panels are powder-coated to resist nicks and scratches, while the plywood surfaces all get UV and oil coating.
Optional items include a LED lantern that can be set up on the cooktop to light up your outdoor kitchen at night, which comes with a companion app for precision control, as well as a detachable telescopic stand for propping the LED up at your desired height. There’s also an optional removable soft cooler that will take up around half the room in the box, in case you want to use the storage space to carry food, drinks, and other perishable items, although it should also accommodate any small soft coolers you already have at home. Lastly, they also offer a utensil rack if you want a more organized way of carrying all your utensils and cutlery.
