Bang & Olufsen is no stranger to speakers that look like decorative sculptures. The B&O BeoSound Shape, however, takes things to a whole new level, allowing you to pump out the jams using speakers that double as elegant wall art.
Designed to be as functional as they are decorative, the setup consists of six-sided tiles that are covered in a range of acoustic fabrics. Each tile serves a function as either a speaker, an amplifier, or an acoustic damper, with a basic setup giving you a pair of each that you can arrange any way you want on the walls of the living room, the bedroom, or anywhere else in the house.
The B&O BeoSound Shape starts with six tiles, although you can throw in up to 11 amplifiers, 44 speakers, and an unlimited number of acoustic dampers, so you can literally cover a large wall in this thing without any issues. Each speaker comes with a 51/4-inch woofer and a ¾-inch tweeter, while each amplifier houses eight 80-watt class D amps that allow it to support up to four speakers each. Do note, the speakers and amplifiers come with physical connectors on the sides, so you’ll have to snap them in place instead of just randomly mounting anywhere you like.
Features include lightweight composite casings, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, integrated Chromecast, and AirPlay support. It comes with a companion app for convenient control.
Pricing for the B&O BeoSound Shape starts at £3,400.
