All alarm clocks are designed to wake you up in the morning, so you can make it to work in time. The Kello is no different. Except, it’s also a sleep trainer designed to help improve the way you catch your nightly slumber.
Armed with integrated sleep programs, the alarm clock can train you to wake up at an earlier time, get you to sleep in half the usual time, hit the snooze button less, fight jet lag (it will create a personalized sleep schedule based on your trip details), take optimized power naps, and more. It can even alert you when it’s time for bed, so you can get a quick reminder instead of staying up well past bedtime after starting an engrossing movie on your tablet.
Like many bedside alarm clocks, Kello comes with an integrated Bluetooth speaker, so you can use it to pipe music all throughout the bedroom, whether you’re reading a book for bedtime or first in thing in the morning to help you rouse you from bed. It also comes with onboard Wi-Fi, allowing it to hop on to your home network, where it can interface with various connected devices via IFTTT. That means, you can have the coffee maker start brewing as soon as the alarm rings off, turn off all the lights once it’s bedtime, and so on.
To help the device keep track of your sleep times, you can tap it once on the head to tell it that you’re going to bed. From there, it will monitor your sleep schedule, performing any settings accordingly.
A Kickstarter campaign is currently running for Kello. Pledges to reserve a unit starts at $119.
