That ultrawide curved monitor sure looks fine and all, but what you really want is a similarly-enthralling all-in-one PC to maximize the limited desk space you have at home? Not a problem with the Samsung ATIV One 7 Curved, a new 27-inch all-in-one with a shapely display panel.
Sure, it’s not quite as striking as LG’s ultrawide display (the extra width does make the curve seem more pronounced), although the arching shape on this all-in-one does make for an eye-catching sight all the same. Samsung claims the 4000R curvature will make the screen feel larger than its already generous 27-inch real estate, making for a “realistically immersive gaming experience.” Of course, we’re not sure how many serious gamers actually use all-in-ones (especially one with integrated graphics), so maybe it’s very immersive for casual gamers playing Angry Birds on their Chrome browsers. Or something like that.
The Samsung ATIV One 7 Curved’s display features a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 300 nits of brightness, and 178 degrees of viewing angles, along with reduced glare, courtesy of the bended shape. Inside, it comes with an Intel Core i5 processor, Intel HD Graphics 5500, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and 1TB of flash storage. Multimedia appears to be a main focus, with the PC coming outfitted with a 10-watt stereo speakers, along with Dolby Sound Effects and lossless audio transmission via APT-X. Other features include a 1080p video cam, four USB ports, an SD card reader, WiFi, and Bluetooth, so you can use it as wireless speakers for playing music from mobile devices. It comes housed in a metallic deco frame, with a matching stand.
Pre-orders for the Samsung ATIV One 7 Curved will start in the first quarter. Price is $1,299.99.
