The Lamborghini Veneno sure was one insane car. Want to make it even wilder? Chop that top off. Well, that’s exactly what they did with the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster.
Just like its coupe counterpart, the roadster embraces the same outlandish design that you’ll either judge to be incredibly sexy or unconscionably vulgar. Either way, it’s an intentionally extreme aesthetic that only gets even more pronounced with the topless version.
The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster retains the same extreme styling, competition-quality aerodynamics, and insane-level powertrain as the coupe, making it every bit of a polarizing figure. The open-air cockpit is completely barren of any protection from the elements — no removable roof panels, no fabric canopies, no nothing. Just you, the skies, and whatever weather comes you way (and, hopefully, a hot girl way out of your league on the passenger seat). Oh yeah, they threw in a strong rollover bar on there, which will, hopefully, be enough to keep you alive in case of a wild accident at high speeds.
As with the coupe, it runs the same 6.5-liter V12 and seven-speed ISR gearbox as the Aventador, except everything is retuned to put out 750hp, allowing it to hit top speeds of 220 mph and hit a 0 to 60 in just 2.9 seconds.  Other details include permanent all-wheel drive, racing-class chassis, carbon-fiber construction, adjustable rear wing, exclusive alloy wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes.
Want one? I’m sure everybody does. Only those who can come up with $5.3 million dollars early enough to snag one of the nine Lamborghini Veneno Roadsters to be sold can have the privilege, though. It goes on sale 2014.
