You got your bonus CEO money. Unfortunately, you have no time to spend it holidaying in that exclusive private island resort you’ve been meaning to visit the last two years. What to do to make yourself feel better? Just throw some of that down on the Rolls-Royce Wraith and be rolling in style, laughing at all the poor VPs who can only afford Bentleys with their bonuses.
While wearing the same snobby upturned-nose attitude Rolls Royce cars have always been associated with, the two-door ride delivers a visible level of aggression with a fastback silhouette, aerodynamic lines, prominent shoulders and a wide rear track. It doesn’t bring the muscle-bound aggression of a Corvette or the razor-sharp stare of a Lambo, though — instead, it’s that Kingpin-level of nasty where the dude points you out to his henchmen to be slaughtered next before walking away nonchalantly. Or something to that effect. Rounding out the exterior details are a deeply recessed grille, dramatic twin exhausts, frameless coach doors, and 20-inch seven-spoke wheels.
Billed as “the most potent (tee-hee) and technologically advanced Rolls Royce in history,” the Wraith houses a 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that puts out 624 hp and 500 pound-feet of torque. No word on top speed, but it can sprint to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. One of the most notable features is the Satellite Aided Transmission, which uses GPS data and current driving style to anticipate the driver’s next move, allowing for the most efficient performance while clearing corners, junctions and roundabouts.
The four-person interior boasts hand-built seats, high-grade wood paneling, and an optional starlight headliner with 1,340 lights woven into the fabric for that extra lavish touch. Voice commands and touchpad controls are also par for the course, providing a truly advanced nav and infotainment system.
The Rolls Royce Wraith will be available in the Fall, with prices starting at €245,000.
