You’re attached to your iPhone like a kid to their favorite blanket. And you bring it with you everywhere. Except the water, because a wet iPhone is not a good iPhone. Unless you get yourself a proper liquid-tight protection, that is, like the new Griffin Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case.
A collaboration between Griffin Technology and adventure lifestyle accessory brand Catalyst, it’s the latest addition to the former’s Survivor line of rugged cases. That way, you never have to take a dip in the pool or snorkel while holding on to a boat without your beloved lifeline gadget in tow.
The Griffin Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case features a high-impact crystal casing that leaves the phone’s features available while protecting it from getting ravaged by water. Not only does the clear case leave the display fully visible, it allows you to use the touchscreen, take photos and videos, make and receive calls, listen to music and even recharge (probably not while in the water, though). Button covers protect the individual physical controls while continuing to allow its use. As for its rugged credentials, the case is rated waterproof for depths of up to of 9.8 feet and the ability to survive drops of up to 6.6 feet.
Along with the Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case, Griffin has also announced the Survivor Clear, a crystal-clear polycarbonate version of their popular Survivor case. The waterproof case will be available end of January for $79.99, with the Survivor Clear debuting in March for $29.99.
