Overpriced Marty McFly shoes not your thing? If a Muppet-themed shoe is more your style, then hold out a tad for the Adidas Superstar II Kermit the Frog Edition. Yep, Ms. Piggy’s crooning green boyfriend just got a pair of custom sneakers in his likeness.
Set to be a part of the brand’s Superstar line this coming winter, the kicks don’t have the amphibious puppet’s face anywhere on it. That way, you don’t look like you’re wearing children’s shoes when you hit town since, let’s face it, there’s no pride in that.
Instead, the Adidas Superstar II Kermit the Frog is decked in Kermit-colored green suede upper and bright green soles.  To make sure nobody mistakes it for Incredible Hulk-themed sneakers (I mean, it’s as green as an angry Bruce Banner), they threw in Kermit’s lily pad collar in place of the regular tongue. The phrase “The Original Hip Hop” is printed along the sides, in place of the usual Superstar label (because Kermit is, you know, the original OG of the most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, muppetational crew).
The shoes will be released as part of the cross-promotional marketing for the new Muppets movie. No pricing yet, but it’s expected to hit stores sometime in October.
