It’s spring. Which means it’s the perfect time for GeigerCars to unveil the Hummer H2 Bomber, a modified version of the iconic four-door SUV designed to run on snow.
The German tuner has created numerous variants of Hummers over the years, from a custom 700hp H2 for a Texas cop to a Martini Racing-inspired H3. Obviously, the American brand’s demise isn’t enough to stop them from grinding out more and this latest creation pretty much makes that statement. A statement we’re not sure you’ll listen to since the winter is, for all intents and purposes, over.
Easily the most notable update on the Hummer H2 Bomber is the removal of the 20-inch wheels, which are dutifully replaced by four gnarly-looking Mattracks 88M1-A1 rubber tracks. Measuring 59.1 x 15.7 inches (L x W), GeigerCars boast that the tracks should allow for “unrivalled traction on virtually any type of terrain,” although it would be pretty weird trying to hit an asphalt highway on erstwhile tank treads. The rest of the vehicle embraces a classic military theme, with its matte silver paint finish, Air Force lettering and a roofbox with Hella lights.
Power is delivered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine, with 98 bhp and 423 lb-ft of torque, with options for an LPG Autogas system (155-liter fuel tank), paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox. Inside, it gets a Kenwood navigation system, a rear seat entertainment system and a sunroof. Other extras can be added, of course, if you request for them.
No word on availability for the GeigerCars Hummer H2 Bomber, but I’m pretty sure you can get it before the next winter season.
