Soaking in a pool is fun, but zooming down a slippery slide and splashing into a pool of water just takes the fun to a whole new level. It adds an exhilarating feeling to cooling down during hot summer afternoons. As such, it’s no surprise that more than a few kids we know have been bugging their parents to put an inflatable water slide in the backyard.
If you really think about it, an inflatable water slide isn’t such a bad idea. It’s a great way to keep kids busy during lazy summer days, while keeping them active and cooled down. Seriously, it’s like having your own waterpark from the comfort of your backyard and you don’t have to pay every time you want to use it. Not to mention, it gets your kids away from endlessly staring at digital screens and engages them in physical play.
There are plenty of options for inflatable water slides. There are large, extravagant ones that stand over 10 feet tall, with multiple slides for kids to play on. There are simpler ones with shorter slides that still manage to keep things exciting, especially if you have smaller toddlers. Some slides come with stairs, some with climbing walls, and some come with tunnels. Some inflatable slides come with fun themes, too, such as pirates and castles, prompting kids to indulge in more imaginative play.
These are the best inflatable water slides to bring waterpark-style summer fun to the backyard.
Wellfuntime Inflatable Water Park with Double Basketball Hoops
Unlike others in this list, the slide may not even be the highlight of this inflatable water park, although it does come with a fun-looking straight slide that leads down to a small shallow pool. That’s because the slide is slotted right next to a deeper pool with a basketball hoop on either end, allowing kids to do their best Steph Curry impression while cooling down in the water. You can even get up on the slide and try to hit a hoop while coming down on the slope, which, let’s be honest, will make for a fun game kids will probably play over and over. It comes with a climbing wall at the back of the slide, a water cannon, and sprays on a tunnel at the top of the slide.

Blast Zone Hydro Rush
If you’re looking for something simple and fun, we like the straightforward design of this inflatable water slide. It gets a pretty long slide that actually curves throughout, which should make it just a tad more exhilarating than standard straight slides. You do land straight to the shallow pool after clearing the slide, though, with no cushion, although the curve should slow down the ascent enough for safety. However, parents might still want to throw in a small float in there, in case the kids are getting a little rowdy with their play. We love that the shallow pool covers a large chunk of area, allowing kids to lie down and soak if they just want to cool down. It comes with a water cannon that sprays water to the pool, as well as dual sprays at the arch on top of the slide. You get back to the slide via a climbing wall behind it.

Bounctech 8-in-1 Mega Waterslide Park
If you like your inflatable water slide to be as busy and confusing as possible, this one’s got you covered. First off, there’s a slide on the left side that leads to a strip of shallow pool, so you’ll likely continue to slide on the pool a feet or so after touching ground. It’s fun. To its right is a bigger shallow pool with a smaller slide, two built-in inflatable cones you can use to play a game of Ring Toss (it comes with rings), and an elevated bounce house at one end if your kids feel like working up a sweat by bouncing over and over. They even threw in a basketball hoop in the bounce house just to make things even busier. Oh yeah, the climbing wall to the big slide is right in the bounce house, too, so you can actually do a little bouncing while waiting for your turn on the slide. Fun.

Little Tikes Rocky Mountain River Race
We love this inflatable water slide for its long and tall slides, allowing kids to enjoy the ride down a little longer than other inflatable options. It’s got two slides with strong water sprays on top, too, so kids don’t have to line up to go down a single structure, with a tall climbing wall in the center that’s periodically being doused with water by a dump bucket on top. They’re able to make the slides longer because of its height, with the whole thing measuring 8.5 feet at its tallest point. Basically, if you want a water slide with the longest slides available, this will make for an excellent pick.

Wellfuntime Inflatable Water Slide Park
This is one feature-packed inflatable water slide, with two slides sitting side-by-side that lets kids race each other down to the shallow pool. One of the slides even has an arch with a water spray, so kids get spritzed as they reach the end. It has a wide climbing wall large enough for three kids to fit, two shower-like sprays on the elevated tunnels, a water bucket, and even a deep pool on the corner with a shower spray for kids who want to take a break and soak. Just connect it to a garden to hose to have a steady stream of water feeding all the sprays and it should be filled with pools and puddles in a jiffy. Aside from the miniature waterpark, it comes with four water blasters and three inflatable sport balls.

Hasbro Nerf Super Soaker Ultimate Water Park
This massive inflatable water slide measures 16.7 x 12.5 x 7 feet (width x depth x height), making it a veritable water playground. It splits that large space into three separate areas: a battleship with two slides on the left side, a knee-deep pool in the middle, and another battleship with two slides on the right. Being a Super Soaker, it comes with water cannons on each battleship, allowing you to soak each other with a strong stream of water. And yes, it delivers a stronger spray than what you’ll normally find in other water slides, making this an absolute treat for kids who love some water mayhem. Each of the battleships also come with mini-tunnels with their own sprays that, again, delivers a stronger stream than what we’ve typically seen in other water slides. It comes with its own 750V air blower, which inflates the whole thing in just five minutes.

Sunny & Fun Double Dip
If you’re up for getting an inflatable with a fancier slide, you might appreciate this sleek-looking contraption, which comes with a long curving slide on one side that allows kids to really enjoy their descent. It’s not just a subtle curve like many we’ve seen, either, as this one has a pretty big curve that can bring an all-new excitement to your backyard summer revelry. There’s also a short straight slide on the opposite side for a more straightforward dash down the shallow pool. A narrow climbing wall (one kid at a time only) sits right next to the straight slide, while a decently-sized tunnel with sprays sit on top of the 8.9-inch tall structure. It also has two water cannons on the edges streaming water straight to the shallow pool for even more ways to get soaked.
