You’re trekking the local forests in the middle of summer when, suddenly, you enter a time warp that brings you to an icy environment with mammoths and abominable snowmen and giant polar bears.  Lucky you brought Small Foot, a pair of inflatable snow shoes that fold up into a tiny bag. Now, you can run your way to….errrr…you’re still screwed!
Created by Bulgaria-based Any Exit, the footwear attachment is intended for emergencies in the ice. Like when you’re snowboarding in the backwoods and suddenly come across some deep powder and stuff. Just pump them up, strap them to your shoes and you’re good to go.
When deflated, each Small Foot can be crammed into a tiny bag, which you can hook onto your pants, belt, jacket and other pieces of clothing for easy access. The bag has an exterior compartment for the pump, too, so you don’t really need to bring anything extra to be ready for unfriendly snow.
Granted, these probably aren’t the best options for making your way through thick snow. For temporary use while you get back to the line, though, they sure seem a lot more convenient than towing a pair of snow boots around. Plus, they look like bedroom slippers from afar, which should have onlookers wondering what the hell you smoked before leaving the house (and where they can get some).
No word on availability or pricing, yet, but Any Exit is slated to bring the Small Foot to ISPO Brand New 2011, which is set to go down in Munich this coming February.
