You like the classic style of old-school trucks, but appreciate the advanced technology of modern automotive.  Bespoke truck builders Icon has you covered on that front with their Icon D200, which brings the best of the old and the new in a single ride.
Made in partnership with Banks Power, the vehicle combines the look and feel of the 1965 Dodge D200 Crew Cab with a modern Dodge 3500 chassis and all the fresh tech they can cram into it. That way, you can drive retro without getting vintage levels of performance. The idea, according to Icon, is to bring the “classic crew cab design” in a vehicle with “decidedly modern performance and comfort.”
The Icon D200 has a tuned 5.9 L Cummins engine wreaking havoc under the hood, providing it with an insane 975 lbs. of torque for some serious power. Aside from the engine, Banks Power is also outfitting it with their PDA screen, a Six-Gun Diesel Tuner, Banks’ iQ Man-Machine Interface, a Monster Ram intake manifold, a diesel dual exhaust, and their exhaust braking system. Suspension boasts a 4.5-inch Baja 1000 Chase lift kit, with Fox 3.0 reservoir shocks. Other details include 17 x 8 Hutchinson Monster series rims, 37-inch BF Goodrich tires, bison leather interior, JL Audio sound system and tons of custom-made parts.
You can catch the Icon D200 among a host of other automobiles at the floor of SEMA 2012. No word, however, on availability or pricing.
