This Jet Engine Powers The Most Absurd Coffee Maker For Your Kitchen

No, that’s not a real jet engine. I mean, what the heck would your  kitchen do with one? Instead, the Aviatore Veloce Turbojet 100 is a coffee maker that borrows its aesthetics from military jet engines, so you can look like you’re operating a powerful aeronautics machine every time you brew a steaming hot cup every morning.

Not just a coffee maker, by the way, but a single-serve machine at that, which means the brewing process is so intense it requires a powerful mil-grade machine to make a single cup. Or something like that.

Created by designer and mechanical engineer, Paolo Mastroguiseppe, the Aviatore Veloce Turbojet 100 Coffee Maker actually hides a high-pressure brewer inside that intimidating frame, with a coffee-making process that’s, pretty, straightforward. To use, simply tug on the front end of the engine to reveal the chambers, pour water in one chamber, throw coffee grounds on the other, and push it back close. From there, simply select the size of serving you want and wait for your freshly-brewed cup. It can also make tea, by the way, so you just substitute tea leaves for coffee grounds in that situation.

Construction is aviation-grade aluminum, stainless steel, and aluminum bronze, so it looks like a legit, albeit smaller, engine sitting in your kitchen countertop. It measures 30.7 x 13.1 x 17.9 inches and weighs almost 62 pounds, so it will make for one heck of a presence.

No pricing is listed, but a limited run of 100 units is scheduled for the Aviatore Veloce Turbojet 100 Coffee Maker.
